Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins is a Mexican American Sportscaster. Her employer is ESPN as a SportsCenter News Anchor. The first time she worked for ESPN in the year 2016. Her mother is TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual from the time she turned nine. The ability that helped her get her first role as a Univision producer assistant Miami. In Miami, she was a producer for National shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. The next position she was offered was a Sports Reporter at the CBS St. Petersburg Affiliate. In 2009, the reporter relocated from St. Petersburg to Rio Grande Valley Texas where she worked for KNVO TV 48 Univision as in addition to Fox2 News. In 2009, she moved to Rio Grande Valley, Texas and became a reporter for KNVO 48 Univision as well as Fox2 News. Also, she was often requested to serve as an anchor for weather and sports. Deportes 23 was Univision Dallas affiliate and she assumed more responsibility. She produced pieces about MLB's ALDS ALCS and World Series the Dallas Cowboys the NBA postseason and the NBA Finals FC Dallas and the Dallas Stars. Also, she produced Univision 23's local sports show Accion Deportiva Extra, on which she served as anchor. She also served as the anchor for sports on Despierta America Deportes morning show. The anchor also worked in the same capacity as the show's magazine Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta's parents were originally of Veracruz Mexico. They eventually settled in Mexico City and she was born there on November 22, 1985. There is an older sister. The family settled in Miami after moving out of Mexico into the US. Her parents divorced soon after and her mother remarried a naval architect called Fabio Fajardo who died from kidney cancer in 2006. In the summer in 2006 she took one week with her sibling at Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl worked at the time. Antonietta is a senior in high school and knew exactly what career path she wanted to pursue. So while assessing if Mount Union would be a good fit to her needs, Antonietta visited the school. As it turned out she loved the school and the university offered the degree she was searching for. She completed her schooling and was accepted to the University with a degree studying media and communication studies. Mark Bergmann, her professor who was also the manager of WRMU's 91.1FM station where she worked over the years, became her friend. Her professor Mark Bergmann inspired her with his enthusiasm for journalism. Additionally, he profoundly influenced her.
